How to set up a new user on an existing computer
Assuming Windows is installed and the computer is joined to the domain, follow these steps.
1) Log in with the Domain Administrator account.
2) Add a domain user account to the computer. (Start | Settings | Control Panels | Users). At SFGC, most users are in the restricted Users group.
3) Log in using the user's username and password. If the password is not known, it can be reset on the server.
4) Start Outlook and set it up.
5) Add printers.
6) Configure desktop shortcuts.
7) If the user is migrating from another computer, move files and favorites from the old computer.
8) On the server, force the user to change her password upon next login. Leave a note for the user with the temporary password.
