I am in need of a powerful computer to rent for an upcoming development contract for an application for a community group (coding in VB6 and Access). In my previous position (contract) I used a very nice Dell for development, provided by the employer, and I am looking for a good place where I can rent a powerful, hopefully new computer inexpensively ($30 or less per month, no need for a monitor). I'm ideally looking for:
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor
Windows® XP Professional
2.0GB DDR2 Non-ECC SDRAM, 533MHz
80GB SATA 3.0Gb/s and 8MB DataBurst Cache
I'd be open to purchase a computer for under $400 if it is very good.
Any suggestions for places to look, people to talk to, etc... would be great, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and am new to the area.
